First Volunteer Bank unites to eliminate hunger in the 11 counties we serve by holding a company-wide community event called Tailgate-a-Palooza.
Each year, we ask our employees and customers to bring in cans of food or monetary donations and invite everyone to stay for a fresh hamburger or hot dog with our staff.
In 2018, our goal was to raise 100,000 cans. We exceeded that goal by collecting 144,559 cans from our 24 branch offices! These donations provided 120,465 meals for individuals unsure where their next meal would come from.
Tailgate-a-Palooza has become a crucial event in our markets and is just one example of how First Volunteer makes a difference in the communities we serve.
